Does it work on a Mac?

Yes. KMF runs natively on both Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS (Apple Silicon).
Do I need an internet connection or a paid AI account?

No. Run fully offline with a local model through Ollama or LM Studio, or connect a cloud provider - Anthropic, OpenAI, or Gemini - if you'd rather use one. Either way, you're never required to pay KMF anything beyond the one-time purchase.
How does it keep my voice consistent?

A Literary DNA profile is built for each pen name and enforced at every draft. Style Fingerprint then measures the finished prose against real traits and flags measurable voice drift - that's Audit 4.
Where does my manuscript data go?

It stays local - there is no multi-tenant cloud account, and your chapter prose never touches a Krannie server. On Pro and Elite, your Quick Notes and whatever you choose to share with your phone through Mobile Companion are kept on a Krannie-operated server. If you choose to use a cloud AI provider, the text you send for that specific request stays with that provider only, under their own terms.
How many pen names can I run?

Can I install it on more than one computer?

Yes. Your license key works on up to two of your own computers at once, Windows or Mac. Each computer keeps its own copy of your work (use Backup & Restore to move work between them). To use a third computer, deactivate one of the two from inside the app first.
